UPDATE: this trading alert has been deprecated as the latest round of disconnects with the game servers(crash/timeout) have successfully preserved ships and personal items.
CIG’s crash protection seems to have vanished into PU, #STARC-45525.
Crashes are once again resulting in the loss of all your cargo, your ship, and your life. And I was just looking forward to trading with that cool 1M aUEC.
Tac-Ops Staging operations should also consider the loss of ships, freight, and personnel in their tactical operations.
With folks in the PTU begging for a patch release, CIG pulled the trigger. Of course their login server could only spit out a meager 16008 until the surge of traffic waned. And that little stipen CIG promised to pay out for previous hours played? Paid out in spades!
I had over 10M aUEC and others reported much, much more. WOW.
And of course, #DPSCalculator was nonresponsive. Kit time be damned. Didn’t take long to requisition attrition and distortion repeaters and some basic gear. To kit out a few ships the only safe bet to find everything I needed was of course, at Cousins. My Mercury awaits at my hangar.
After a long day I had everything I needed to kit half-dozen fighters and two freighters. All that remained undelivered, 10 atlas jump drives, stored away in my ship’s inventory. Did I mention that big smile on my face????
Then the shit hit the fan! CIG made a MATH error, go figure. The mistake was a crowd-pleaser though as many had spent the first day buying up whatever they could get their hands on. I mean, really, who needs 6 hammerheads? So CIG taketh and purged excessive ship purchases and striped all but 20K aUEC from everyone’s account. There went my jump drives.
Oh the outrage of a socialist event in a fascist society. The shame of it all.
CIG recovered nicely. They uncovered some serious bugs surrounding their “wallet” service, which had some screaming that folks owed CIG credits. Seriously. A “proper” reset of everyone’s account could only be completed by taking the systems down for perhaps the better part of a day or two. CIG did the right thing and kept systems up AND
New for the coming week all Star Citizens will receive 1M aUEC credited to their accounts.
Bringing back SCM mode would be a huge step backwards for the current FM. Other than jerk – ships fly great. Of course, we anxiously await things like tractor beams, drag sdfs and the like.
The wait for the next patch is over as version 3.17 was released to the PU yesterday. Already there are scores of reviews out, lol. Many of the folks with less than tech savvy credentials once again try their best to ding CIG, here is one that forgoes that drama.
Apparently Phil and his merry band of pirates harassed Gallete Family Farms once too often. Phil was found near the scene of the crime as he and his buddies were trying to make off with the goods. Not a bad combo: a warden, a super hornet and a cutlass, but it would not be enough. OK, 500 creds for the super hornet, 1200 creds for the cutty, and 12312 creds for Bounty Complete!
My “Heartseeker” and the Super Hornet(on loan) are my two favorite bounty hunting rides up through the High Risk Target(HRT) missions. Normally you might want to eliminate one or two of the wingmen first, but here I was able to avoid their fire and take down Chase’s Valkyrie with out much trouble. The gladius trio providing escort soon followed.
Stuck with the Eclipse chasing HRT targets to try to quickly bump my Crusader rep. Another bounty easily bagged. With thermal and magnetic signatures in the 4000-5000 range you can take your time, watch your kill and make your get away with ease. Approaching slowly allows your EM signature to fall after a QT.
While chasing bounties in an Eclipse may seem like easy money, torpedoes are expensive. Doesn’t hurt to get in a little practice for the big fish though. For the most part you can ignore the target’s wingmen, no sense wasting a torpedo on such a small reward. A set of 3 torpedoes will cost you around 10K creds.
